In the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, leader of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), one of the constituent parties of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), and Union Minister Chirag Paswan has hinted at his strategy for the elections of 2030. Paswan has expressed his views without mentioning anything, which can decide the direction of Bihar’s politics in the future.
Actually, Chirag Paswan was asked in an interview recently that there should be a young CM also. You should also be a contender for CM. Is it something like that? On this Paswan said which party does not want this? Every party wants their leader to reach the highest post. I myself always desired to see my father become the Chief Minister of the state and the Prime Minister of the country. So it is natural that every party has this desire towards its leader. But I think that if the right things are discussed at the right time then they have meaning.
Paswan said that today when we are discussing this, it has no meaning at all when it has already been made clear by all the alliance partners that we are going to contest the elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. And I believe that after the elections, the MLAs who win will once again choose Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as their Chief Minister.

Paswan said that I have always said that I want to come back to Bihar. It was in these elections that I wanted to come back. I wanted to contest elections from Bihar but because there was so much delay in the negotiations on seats, only my candidates could file their nominations properly. That had become a bigger priority. So I could not think again about my nomination. The Central Parliamentary Board could not sit again to discuss this agenda. But yes, I definitely wanted to and in the coming days I will come back and say that my priority will be Bihar.
He said that my father always made it clear that he was more interested in central politics. But I have come into politics in Bihar only because of Bihar and Biharis. I grew up in Delhi. I have worked in Mumbai. I have seen Biharis living in adverse conditions in other states and this was the reason why I came back into politics so that I can do something for my fellow Biharis in my state. I saw a period when even the word Bihari was turned into an abuse. I proudly say from every platform that I am a Bihari. I want to see this pride in the eyes of every Bihari. But this will happen if I concentrate more here. So I believe that the next four-five years will further strengthen my decision that I will now have to concentrate completely on the politics of Bihar.
