The Supreme Court has allowed the National Board of Examination (NBE) to change the date of NEET PG Entrance Exam 2025. The examination was to be held on June 15, but before that NBE demanded the Supreme Court to change the date of the examination. While hearing the petition of some students, on May 30, the Supreme Court directed to conduct the NEET examination in a shift, after which NBE made this demand.
NBE says that to conduct the exam in a shift, double exam center will have to be arranged, so the preparation for the exam is needed. The Supreme Court has allowed NBE to conduct NEET PG entrance exam on August 3.
Till last year, NEET entrance examination was conducted in two shifts, but this rule is going to change from this year. NBE said, ‘We will need double exam center to conduct a shift exam, also need time for things like identity, safety parameters. We have also written in the application for changing the date of the exam. We should be allowed to conduct the exam on August 3.
A bench of Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and Justice Augustin George Christ accepted the demand of NBE, saying, ‘Application has been made for conducting NEET exam on August 3. It cited a conversation between the respondents and their technological partner TCS. In this, technical things have been told about the examination centers to prepare for the examination. Responsible number-1 is allowed to conduct the examination on August 3, 2025. After this, there will be no permission to extend the date.
The Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed by some students, which claims that there was a NEET examination in the same shift, but later NBE changed it. On the petition of the students, the Supreme Court had directed NBE to conduct the exam in the same shift.
