In the afternoon, when Dr. Shravani was returning home from the hospital on a scooter, a vehicle deliberately hit her near the KC Canal. Shravani fell on the road. Pretending to be helpful, Vasundhara and her associates made him sit in an auto rickshaw, but on the way, on the pretext of taking him to the hospital, an injection was given in his neck inside the auto. Shravani became suspicious and immediately informed her husband Karunakar. After this a complaint was lodged with the police.

According to the police, Vasundhara, a resident of Beechupalli, Telangana, was already acquainted with Dr. Karunakar. She was filled with feelings of revenge for not being able to marry him.
Using her contacts at GGH hospital, Vasundhara obtained HIV infected blood. On January 9, 2026, he caused an accident as part of a conspiracy and injected it into the auto on the pretext of helping. DSP Babu Prasad told reporters that on the basis of CCTV footage and technical evidence, Vasundhara, her friend Jyoti and her two children have been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
