If we look at the figures, then the number of Indian tourists going to Turki in the year 2009 was 55,000, which increased to 2,30,131 in 2019 after 10 years. After this, this number had increased to 3,30,985 in 2024 last year.
If we look at the figures of 2024 last year i.e., about 62.2 million foreign tourists went to the Turki. Out of these, more than 3 lakh Indian tourists were tourists. He contributes $ 61.1 billion to earning from tourism. Only tourists of India spend $ 291.6 million. In such a situation, boycott of Indian tourists can cause a lot of financial loss to Turkey.
Pakistan’s support was expensive
In view of the appeal of Turki protest in India, booking firms have temporarily banned the booking. An indication of how the opposition to the Turki’s boys has increased can also be understood by the things of Make My Trip spokesperson Tanupriya Chaudhary, in which he said that the booking of passengers for Azerbaijan and Turki has decreased by 60 percent during the last one week, while the ticket canceled has increased by 250 percent.

Praveen Khandelwal, general secretary of the traders’ organization Confederation of All India Traders (CAT) and MP from Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat, says that the journey boycott can have a very bad effect on the economy of Turkey and Azerbaijan. Khandelwal, while mentioning the Indian tourist in Azerbaijan, said that in the year 2024, about 2.6 million tourists went, out of which 2.5 lakh were from India. These tourists spend $ 308.6 million as tourists and contribute to the economy there. In such a situation, there can be a big loss due to boycott of Indian tourist.
