Aamir Khan on Children Muslim Name: Aamir Khan is the Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood. He has given all the blockbuster films in his career so far and has made a place in the hearts of the audience with his strong acting. The actor is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film Stars Zameen Par. Amidst all this, the superstar recently revealed why he put his children’s names Muslims despite marrying Hindu women.
Why did Aamir Khan keep children’s Muslim names?
Please tell that Aamir Khan reached Rajat Sharma’s show AAP’s court. During this, Aamir spoke on the importance behind the names of his three children Junaid, Ira and Azad. In fact, during the conversation, Sharma jokingly told that Aamir’s first wife’s name was Reena, the second wife’s name was Kiran, and jokingly said that his next wife’s name could be “Gauri” (who is Aamir’s girlfriend). At this, the actor crossed his fingers smiling. At the same time, when he was asked why the names of all the children of Aamir are those who do not show the religious background of his mothers clear?
To this, Aamir said, “My children’s names were completely elected by my wives. I had no role in this matter. You are also a husband – you know what it is. Husbands usually do not have the right to decide. Reena only selected Junaid and Ira.”
What is history behind the name of Aamir’s son and daughter?
He further explained that the roots named Ira are very deep in the Indian tradition. Aamir said, “Ira Devi is another name of Saraswati. Have you heard about Iravati? Ayra is a small form. Reena got this name in the books of Maneka Gandhi’s Hindu names.”
Regarding his son Azad, Aamir told that this was his second wife Kiran Rao, who had chosen this name as a tribute to the great freedom fighter Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Aamir said, “Maulana Azad made a huge sacrifice for the independence of our country. He stood shoulder to shoulder with Nehru, Gandhi and Sardar Patel. He is a great inspiration for us, so Kiran suggested that we keep our son’s name free.” Aamir emphasized that Azad is a universal name which is beyond religious identity. He said, “Azad is not a Muslim name. Have you heard about Chandrashekhar Azad? This name is associated with the idea of freedom. It is not related to any one religion, and therefore we liked it very much.”
