AB de Villiers got angry on the criticism of Rohit-Virat, know who called him ‘cockroach’

AB de Villiers has now given a stern reply to those who raised questions on Team India’s two great batsmen, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. After the brilliant performance of both the players in the Sydney ODI against Australia, De Villiers took a dig at the critics by calling them ‘cockroaches’. He said that such people come out only when a player is moving towards the last stage of his career.

What did de Villiers say?

During a live session on Facebook, AB de Villiers said, “I don’t understand who these people are… or can I even call them human beings. As soon as a player reaches the last phase of his career, these cockroaches come out of their holes. Why? Why try to bring down someone who has given so much for his country and cricket?”

De Villiers further said that this is the time to respect the contributions of these two greats and not to degrade them.

Rohit-Virat replied with the bat

Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli made a great comeback in the ODI series against Australia. Rohit scored a half-century in the second ODI and a brilliant century in the third. Whereas Virat gave a befitting reply to the critics by scoring unbeaten 74 runs in the third match after two consecutive zeroes. These innings proved that both the players still have power left and they remain the backbone of the Indian team.

De Villiers gave advice to critics

De Villiers said that both Rohit and Virat have had to face a lot of criticism in the last few months. “People have been trying to show him down without any reason. But the truth is that these are the same players who have taken Indian cricket to new heights. We should celebrate them, and not try to tear them down.”

He also said that the people who are spreading hatred and wrong towards him are very few people. In reality, most people respect the careers of these two players.
