Even when South African legend AB de Villiers played international cricket, every bowler was in awe of him. Even today, if he plays any league cricket, the bowlers are afraid to bowl to him, because even today he bats in the same aggressive style. Now his 10 year old son has set out to carry forward his legacy. De Villiers’ wife shared a post about his son scoring the first half-century of his cricket career, which she re-shared.
AB de Villiers’ wife Danielle posted a photo of her son on her Instagram story and wrote, “Hearts won. Our baby AB scored his first half-century yesterday.” Re-sharing this post, AB de Villiers wrote, “Proud moment, and he played this innings with his new 360 bat.” Let us tell you that De Villiers has opened his bat company just a few days ago.

AB de Villiers has retired from international cricket. He has made a splash in big cricket leagues around the world including IPL, although he has retired from IPL and those leagues as well. He is now seen playing in Legends League etc. He came to India specifically for the finals of IPL 2025, because his former franchise and his friend Virat Kohli’s team RCB had reached the finals. RCB became champion for the first time by winning the final.
AB de Villiers is the father of 3 children
AB de Villiers and Daniel are parents of 3 children, they have 2 sons (Abraham and John Richard) and a daughter (Yante). The half-century has been scored by his elder son Abraham, who was born in 2015. He wants to become a cricketer like his father and is taking training in the club. The second son is Richard, who was born in 2017.
