WTC final in 4 years
AB de Villiers said, “You should have the feeling as if you have reached the finals after performing well against all the countries. Perhaps the WTC cycle should be four years old. We have done so in ODI cricket before, then why not in Test format? This format will be appropriate and organizers will get more time to prepare a balanced and fair system.”
Test cricket is also struggling with a big trouble, because many countries are not getting the host of Test matches. Talking about South Africa, he has not hosted any Test series till October 2026.
When did WTC start
The World Test Championship was started in the year 2019, in which the format to play the final match was prepared every 2 years. Such a format was prepared that in this interval of 2 years, a team has to play 6 Test series, including three domestic series and three foreign tours.
