Mau bypoll election: Subhaspa leader Abbas Ansari’s legislature is over after being sentenced to two years in the Hate Speech case. After which the Mau assembly seat of UP has been vacant. According to the rules, by -elections will be held on this seat within six months. The interesting thing is that this seat has been occupied by the Ansari family for 27 years. This is the first time the by -election will be held on the seat occupied by the Ansari family.
Abbas Ansari, son of Purvanchal’s Bahubali leader Mukhtar Ansari, became MLA for the first time in the year 2022 after winning elections from Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party. During this election, he gave a disputed statement from the stage, in which a complaint was filed. The court sentenced him to two years in this case. Within 24 hours of sentencing, a notification was also issued by the Assembly Secretariat to cancel their legislature.
Who will tie the head of victory in Mau by -election
This is the second time in the last two years when a by -election will be held in any seat in the district. Earlier, by -elections were held after the resignation of SP MLA Dara Singh Chauhan in Mau’s Ghosi assembly seat and now by -elections will be held in Abbas Ansari Mau Sadar seat. This seat has been occupied by the Ansari family for 27 years. From 1996 to 2017 Mukhtar Ansari continued to win elections from different political parties. After which in 2022, Abbas Ansari won the election with Subhaspa-SP alliance.
In such a situation, a round of discussions on social media has started regarding who will hold this seat now. If the by -elections are held in Mau Sadar seat, then it will be very interesting to see who will tie the victory on whose head. This seat has been a Muslim -dominated seat, so till date the BJP has not won here. At the same time, Subhaspa has started batting for this seat. Rajbhar said that Abbas was an MLA from Subhaspa, in such a situation, he should get a chance to contest elections on this seat.
