A major accident has taken place during mining in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. This accident has taken place in the Cat Markundi mining area of Obra police station area of the district. It has been told that the accident took place in the mine of Krishna Mining Work Prof. Dilip Kesari and Maqsudan Singh of Cati Markundi area.
So far, the bodies of two laborers have been taken out in this accident, while many people are feared to be buried under the debris. At the same time, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of this incident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions for immediate relief work.
Actually, 7 drill machines were running in the mine and at least two people work together on each drill machine. However, it is not yet certain how many people are buried under the debris. It is said that this accident occurred due to debris falling from the mine during drilling.
Senior officials reached the spot on receiving information about the accident
Meanwhile, after getting information about this matter, senior officials of the district have reached the spot. Efforts are being made to start the rescue operation as soon as possible. Due to darkness there is a delay in starting the rescue. Despite this, efforts are being made by the administration to start the rescue as soon as possible. After this accident, SDRF and NDRF teams have also been called. Besides, a team has also been called from Mirzapur so that the rescue work can be done as soon as possible.
These laborers lost their lives in the accident
Among those who lost their lives in this accident, two laborers Santosh son of Sobhanath and Indrajit son of Sobhanath resident of Karamsar have died. There is a possibility that some workers may still be buried under the debris. However, the reason behind this accident is said to be heavy blasting. It is believed that the incident occurred due to cracking of stones during heavy blasting. There is an uproar among the families of the people possibly buried at the site of the incident.
What did the officials say about the accident?
While giving information regarding this incident, District Officer BN Singh said that it is not yet known how many people are buried inside. As a priority, efforts are being made to conduct rescue operations on the spot as soon as possible.
