Former MP from Tonk Lok Sabha seat of Rajasthan, Sukhbir Singh Jonapuria is embroiled in a big controversy. A video of his is going viral, through which it is being claimed that he took back the blankets distributed to Muslim women after asking their names. It was also seen in the video that the BJP leader asked the names of the poor women and when they were Muslims, he said – ‘Move aside, leave the blanket here.’
The matter pertains to Karera Elderly village of Niwai area. Today (Sunday, February 22) Sukhbir Singh Jonapuria had organized a program of blanket distribution for the poor near Sita-Ram temple here. While distributing blankets, Sukhbir Singh Jonapuria asked the name of the woman sitting below. The woman told- Sukraan Khan.
The former MP got furious on hearing the name. He told the woman to move aside. The women present there said that the former MP had earlier given them blankets, but when they came to know that he was a Muslim, he took all the blankets back.
‘It is my personal program, those who abuse Modi will not get a blanket’
It is claimed that former BJP MP Sukhbir Singh Jonapuria told the women – Look, listen. Those who abuse Modi do not have the right to take this blanket. Even if someone feels bad, the matter is simple. When the local people confronted the former MP regarding this matter, he said that this program is his ‘personal’ and not any government scheme.
Congress fiercely attacked BJP
Now this video of the former MP is going viral on social media. Regarding the matter, State President of Congress Minority Department MD Chopdar said that this video shows the petty mentality of BJP. Only BJP can do such frivolity for a small item like a blanket.
