A case has been registered against five people of Srisailam Mallikarjuna Annasatra staff on New Year. This action has been taken in connection with dancing on New Year inside the temple premises. In the video viral on social media, it is clearly visible that some people of the temple staff were dancing on film songs and item numbers inside the temple premises. The people on whom action has been taken are the staff of Mallikarjuna Annasatra Srisailam Temple. This is a free food service center.
Police told in the whole matter that the incident happened during the New Year celebrations. After this, a case has been registered under the Indian Justice Code. A case was registered on the complaint of Chief Security Officer Babu. A case has been registered under temple rules and Endowments Act and action has been taken.
Temple authority issued clarification on the whole matter
The temple authority said, ‘The accused staff members are accused of performing obscene dance inside the premises of the holy pilgrimage centre. This has hurt the religious sentiments of the devotees.
In the whole matter, the temple authority said, ‘Clear instructions were given to the temple authorities. Despite this, the staff allegedly ignored the rules and decorum during the New Year. This spread anger among the devotees.
What did the Chairman of Mallikarjuna Annasatra tell?
Shyama, chairman of Mallikarjuna Annasatra, said, ‘The religious sentiments of the devotees have been hurt by the staff actions. Disciplinary action has been taken. After investigation, all staff members have been removed from their duties.
Temple official issued warning
Temple executive officer Srinivas has said in the entire matter that dancing or making reels is strictly prohibited inside the temple or its associated premises. He issued a warning saying that strict legal action will be taken against any person who violates the rules.
