ISPR, the Pakistan Army’s public relations department, said in a statement, “Faiz Hameed had served during the tenure of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently in jail, having been convicted for indulging in political activities and causing undue harm to people.”

“After a lengthy and arduous legal process, the accused has been found guilty of all charges and has been sentenced to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment as per the order announced on Thursday (December 11, 2025),” the statement said.

Faiz had taken retirement after the fall of Imran Khan from power.

Former ISI DG Faiz Hameed, considered a staunch supporter of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was once considered a contender for the post of Pakistani Army Chief, took pre-mature retirement just a few months after the fall of Imran Khan from power.
