The murder of factory worker Dipu Chandra Das in mob lynching in Bangladesh has shocked the country and abroad. On one hand, the ruling party and opposition in India are verbally attacking each other regarding this matter, while on the other hand, Bollywood celebrities have expressed grief and displeasure over this incident.
Jaya Prada expressed grief
Actress Jaya Prada has posted a video expressing both anger and sadness over the murder of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh. She says, ‘Today I am very sad and my heart is bursting. How can such cruelty happen to a human being? In Bangladesh, a Hindu brother, Dipu Chandra Das, was lynched by a mob. He was not only killed but also tied to a tree and set on fire. This incident is not just mob lynching but an attack on Sanatan and Hindu religion. Hindu temples are being demolished in Bangladesh and our sisters are being misbehaved. How long will we remain silent?’
Jhanvi Kapoor also shared the post
Earlier, late on Thursday night, actress Jhanvi Kapoor had also described the violence in Bangladesh as genocide. He posted on social media and wrote, ‘What is happening in Bangladesh is barbarity, it is genocide. If you don’t get angry after seeing the incident, then this hypocrisy will destroy us in the future. We will keep crying after seeing the incidents happening in different parts of the world, while our own brothers and sisters will be burnt to death. He called humanity the only true religion. Also appealed to the people to remember humanity.
Let us tell you that after the murder of Dipu Chandra Das, last Wednesday also another Hindu man was beaten to death in Bangladesh. In Hosendanga village of Rajbari district, a mob killed 29-year-old Amrit Mandal alias Samrat, accusing him of extortion. Information came to light that Samrat had forcefully gone to a house in the village to extort money, but the people of the village together beat him to death.
