Adani Power Bags 1600 mw Thermal Project: Adani Power has received the contract of 1600 MW Ultra Super Kritical Theater Power Project from Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company. The company will invest 21 thousand crore rupees for setting up this plant and related infrastructure. Here, there was a big stir in the stock market on Thursday. In early trade, Adani Power shares fell up to 5 percent, but after a while, they came back to about 50 rupees from their lower level.
According to the news agency PTI, in a statement released by the company on Thursday, Adani Power has received a letter of allotment from Madhya Pradesh Power Management Corporation Limited (MPPMCL). In this, about 800 MW of additional capacity has been given under the Greenshu option.
1600 MW contract for Adani Power
The company said in the statement that India’s private sector’s largest heat power producing company Adani Power Limited (APL) has been awarded a total of 1600 MW capacity by MP Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) under the recently concluded tender process. This came after the success of the first 800 MW capacity in this bidding process by APL.
5th big order in 12 months
This is the fifth power supply order that the company gets in the last 12 months, causing the total contract capacity to become 7200 MW. This additional capacity of 800 MW will be provided at the same rate of Rs 5.838 per kWh applied to the east allocated 800 MW capacity.
Adani Power Limited will supply electricity from a new 1600 MW (800 MW × 2) Ultra supercratical thermal power unit in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh under design, construction, finance, ownership and operation (DBFO) model. Both units will be operational within 60 months from the scheduled time. The company will invest around Rs 21,000 crore on the installation of the plant and the installation of the related infrastructure.
