India will also get clean energy

Adani Power CEO SB Khyalia said, Wangchhu Hydroelectric Project will meet high demand for electricity during winter in Bhutan as hydroelectric production is reduced during that time. Electricity will be exported to India from here during the summer season. Let us know that Vangchhu is the first hydroelectric project to be launched under a memorandum signed between Adani Group and DGPC for the joint development of 5,000 MW hydropower in Bhutan.

Let us know that in May, a big deal was signed between Bhutan and Adani Group. Under this, the two will jointly create 5,000 MW hydropower projects. This will strengthen the relationship between India and Bhutan. Also, the clean energy of Bhutan will also be boosted with this deal. This will increase energy security in Bhutan. At the same time, India will also benefit because DGPC has 51 percent in the Wangchhu Hydropower Project and the Adani Group has 49 percent stake. With the help of this project, the capacity of hydropower in Bhutan will increase and India will also be supplied clean energy.
