The biggest bid was made in IPL history
Amidst the increasing tension between India and Bangladesh, Kolkata Knight Riders had to release Mustafizur Rahman. KKR had bought him in the mini auction by bidding Rs 9.2 crore. This was the biggest bid on a Bangladeshi player in IPL history. In fact, even before the auction, incidents of attacks on Hindus had started coming to light in Bangladesh, despite this, when KKR made such a big bid on Mustafizur, this franchise was heavily criticized.
