Xi Jinping, who has become more powerful than Mao Tse-Tung in China, is worried about the increasing power of American President Trump or is he actually afraid of his own overthrow. Whatever may be the reason, but now in China Xi Jinping is sidelining even those closest to him. And while doing this, he has become so lonely that his decisions have not only started challenging his power, but questions have also started being raised on that China, which no power in the world could even try to raise its head against Mao-Tse-Tung, who created it.
So the question is what is happening in China. Had Xi Jinping’s friend leaked the secret of nuclear weapons to America or was it actually an attempt to overthrow Xi Jinping, which Jinping realized in time and sidelined his friend. After all, what has happened in China in the last few days that Xi’s position is in danger? Today, there will be a clear cut discussion on this issue.
The name of the organization that commands the armed forces in China is Central Military Commission. Its head is the Supreme Commander of the Communist Party of China and hence its head is the President of China Xi Jinping. There are a total of seven people under Xi Jinping in this Central Military Commission. And these people together command the entire Chinese army, but now only two people are left in this Central Military Commission. Xi Jinping himself and another of his trusted generals, Zhang Shengmin.
The remaining five people have been removed from this commission on different charges of corruption and investigation has started against all of them. The first to be removed was China’s then Defense Minister Li Shangfu. In the year 2023, he was suddenly dismissed from the post of Defense Minister. In June 2024, he was also expelled from the Communist Party on corruption charges. Then came Wei Fenghe’s turn. He also used to be the Defense Minister, but he was also removed in June 2024. Then in November 2024, the Director of the Political Wing of the Central Military Commission was removed from his post and investigation was started against him.
When He Weidong, a vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, was expelled first from the party and then from the army in October 2025, questions began to arise as to what was happening. Because He Weidong was very close to Xi Jinping. Before there could be any further discussion on this, in January 2026, Zhang Yuxia, the most senior vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, was also removed from his post and an investigation began against him on serious allegations of corruption and violation of discipline. Along with these, when the head of the Joint Staff Department, Liu Zhenli, was also removed from his post and the investigating agencies started questioning, it was understood that the problem is not only as bad as it seems, but the problem is very big and now the threat is directly to Xi Jinping.
The reason for this is that Zhang Yuxia was not an ordinary military general. Rather, he was a military general who was closer to Xi Jinping than perhaps any other officer in China. And the reason for this is Xi Jinping and Zhang Yuxia being princelings. In China, Princeling is used for those people whose father had been in the Chinese army during the time of Mao Tse-Tung and had worked with Mao. In common language such children can be called princes. So Xi Jinping’s father Xi Junsang and Zhang Yuxia’s father Zhang Zongsun both worked for Mao. There was friendship between the two. And from here a natural friendship developed between Xi Jinping and Zhang Yuxia. Because both were princelings, both were princes.
But Xi probably learned the lesson of his politics from Mao Tse-Tung only. Xi Jinping’s father Xi Jinping also helped Mao in his Long March. He was also given refuge in Yanan. But when Mao took power and saw a threat from Xi Jinping, he arrested Xi Jinping and sent him to jail. And at that time, Xi Jinping was only 10 years old, who had to wander from door to door after his father went to jail, work as a laborer and had to face a time when he could not even get two meals a day.
So Xi Jinping’s training is of Mao, he does not spare anyone, his own or anyone else’s. So when Xi Jinping ordered the arrest of Zhang Yuxia on January 24, the only question was why now. Because due to the allegations due to which Xi Jinping got Zhang arrested, similar allegations had been leveled against many officials, they were also removed from their posts, they were also arrested and everything happened so quietly that no one even heard of it. Then why did Xi let the news about Zhang’s arrest and investigation reach everyone?
Because Xi Jinping wanted this news to reach the people. He wanted that the name of Xi Jinping should be afraid in the mind of every officer of the Chinese army. He wanted everyone to think a thousand times before raising their head against Xi Jinping. Because Xi has power only as long as he is afraid. And the party congress is going to be held next year in 2027. This party congress, held every five years, is organized in the ‘Great Hall of the People’ in Beijing, in which about 2300 delegates from all over China participate.
In this meeting which lasts for about a week, the Central Committee is elected, which later elects the most powerful leaders of the country like Politburo and General Secretary. Also, any major change in the party’s charter or constitution is made in this conference. In this meeting itself, China’s roadmap for the next five-10 years is also prepared. In such a situation, Xi Jinping is already busy in planning so that no one can challenge Xi Jinping during this Congress. And ordering the arrest of his closest friend is also a part of Jinping’s plan.
Others continued to say that Zhang was leaking secret nuclear reports to America, or that he was involved in corruption in the arms trade, or that he had become so powerful in the Chinese army that he could challenge Xi. All these are things to be said and heard. The truth is that Xi Jinping has become like the Netflix show Sacred Games, in which everyone will be killed and only Trivedi will survive. Xi Jinping is the same Trivedi of China’s Sacred Games. To survive, only those people are needed who, like Gungun of Mirzapur, do not refuse any work.
Zhang was a friend and an experienced general, so perhaps he could have refused to attack Taiwan, for which Xi Jinping is preparing the People’s Liberation Army. It is possible that he is also aware of all the weaknesses of power which are preventing 70-year-old Xi from choosing his next successor. It is also possible that after achieving many achievements for China, Zhang may be used merely as an example, through which Xi Jinping can maintain his fear, his power and his dominance over the whole of China and each of its organizations.
