Former India all -rounder Irfan Pathan is currently making a lot of headlines for his impeccable style in social media and interviews. During an interview recently, he revealed an old story, when he had a fight with former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and gave such a reply to Afridi that Afridi was silent.
2006 tour of Pakistan, clashed in flight
Pathan recently gave an interview to Lallantop. In a conversation in it, Pathan told that in 2006, India went on a tour of Pakistan to play the team match. The same flight was done for both teams to go from Karachi to Lahore. All the players were traveling together, when Afridi did mischief with Irfan and spoiled his hair and jokingly called him ‘child’.
Irfan did not like this at all and turned back and replied to Afridi, “Since when have you become my father?” Hearing this, Afridi got very angry and he started abusing Irfan Pathan.
“Afridi has eaten dog meat, then it is barking …”
After this incident, the matter had increased further. In the flight, Pathan asked Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq sitting near him jokingly what kind of meat is available in Pakistan. Razzaq asked Pathan why you are asking this and then told about the different meat found in Pakistan, but then Pathan joked about Afridi sitting together, “Do you get a dog meat here too?”
Irfan revealed that Razzaq was surprised to hear this, while Afridi sitting nearby was also thinking. At the same time, Pathan lashed out at Afridi and said, “Afridi may have eaten dog meat, since then it has been barking so much.”
Afridi became silent
According to Pathan, after this comment, Afridi was silent in the whole journey and did not say anything to Pathan after this. Irfan laughed and said that “he understood that he cannot win in the war of words. After that he never said anything to me.”
