A big news has come out for the students preparing to become teachers in Chhattisgarh. Now no entrance exam will be required for admission to integrated courses like BA-B.Ed and BSc-B.Ed. That is, now only after passing 12th, students will be able to take admission in these courses directly.
The State Educational Research and Training Council (SCERT) has sent this proposal to the government. It is expected that the counseling process will be started under this new system in August. This will save the students one year and the admission process will be completed without examination.
Now the old course will be closed
Till now, a two-year B.Ed course was going on, but according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education, it will be closed from 2024-25. Instead, a four -year integrated course will be promoted. This course is being implemented under the National Education Policy (NEP).
What is the advantage of integrated courses?
The biggest feature of the integrated course is that it starts directly after 12th and is completed in 4 years. With this, students can take BA or BSc and B.Ed degrees simultaneously. This will save their time and they will be able to step towards becoming a teacher quickly.
Result of B.Ed entrance also soon
SCERT informed that the results of B.Ed and DLED entrance exam will also be released by next week. Students who have taken the exam under the old course are being given this opportunity for the last time. After this, admission will be given only in integrated courses.
6700 seats will be admitted
Under the new system, admission will be given in a total of 6700 seats in 300 colleges of the state. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of 12th marks on these seats. After the merit list, colleges will be allotted through counseling.
Important information for students
From now on, there will be no separate examination of B.Ed.
Admission will only be based on merit i.e. 12th numbers.
The old two -year B.Ed course will be completely closed.
The counseling process can begin from August.
Admission will be available only in integrated courses.
