After a dull start, the stock market raced, 82 points rose Sensex; Nifty also crosses 24000

Stock market today: Business in the Indian stock market started with lethargy on Tuesday. In early trade, the Sensex climbed 82 points or 0.10 percent to 81,355. While the Nifty was traded at 24,906 with a gain of 50 26 points or 0.11 %. Both Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap index recorded an increase of 0.2 percent.

The list of Sensex’s top gainers included shares of Reliance, NTPC, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel and Trent. Of these, Reliance was at the forefront with a lead of 1.54 percent. On the other hand, shares of HCL Tech, Power Grid, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma and Tata Motors lagged behind, in which HCL Tech shares recorded a decline of 0.83 percent in early trade. In early trade, 1,299 shares in the Nifty were trading in green mark, while 769 were trading in red mark. There was no change in 115 shares.

Dr. VK Vijaykumar, Chief Investment Strategist of Geojit Investments Limited, said, “The government’s policy initiatives on the GST front and the signs of the next generation reforms have improved the market perception. However, the basic things (income growth) will take time to gain momentum. There will be a continuous boom in the market only when we will get signs of improving income. ”Gift Nifty was also indicating positive start today and it happened. The stock market today opened 52.5 points to 25,015.50 against the previous shutdown of 24,963.

Mixed trend of global market

On Tuesday, the impact of the decline on Wall Street was seen on the Asian market. Nikkei of Japan was 225 0.14 percent below, while South Korea’s Kospi slipped to 0.54 percent. In the US, the stock market remained almost stable as investors are waiting for a speech at the Annual Jackson Hole Summit of Retail Income and Fed Reserve. S&P 500 closed down with a slight decline, while Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded a decline of up to 0.07 percent.
