Russia -India -china trilateral dialogue: China said on Thursday that it advocates to resume Russia-India-China (RIC) trilateral cooperation. This cooperation format was in cold storage for a long time. Beijing said that RIC is very important for the interests of the three countries as well as global stability.
Russia’s initiative, China’s support
Russian news portal Izhawstia reported that Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudankco has said that Moscow expects the restoration of RIC format and is interacting with China and India on the issue. He said that this cooperation is important as the founder and strategic partner of BRICS. Rudenko also said that they see this format getting active again, provided the relations of the three countries reach the level that can make trilateral meetings possible.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lynn Gian, reacting to Rudenco’s statement in press briefing, said that China is ready to continue the dialogue with India and Russia to protect the interests of the three countries and promote global stability through RIC.
Jayashankar’s visit to China increased stir
Russia and China’s interest in RIC recently increased when Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar visited China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting. During this, he also met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Sergei Lavrov of Russia.
