Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Preneet Kaur said on Monday (December 15) that her husband Amarinder Singh and his entire family are fully committed to the BJP. In Patiala, former Union Minister Kaur said that the decision to join BJP a few years ago was taken after deep deliberations and there was no question of going back.

Preneet Kaur said that former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has already made his stand clear many times. Kaur said, “The family is not going anywhere. We are with the BJP and will remain with the BJP. Today the stand has been made very clear and there is no scope for further discussion on this issue.”
Amarinder Singh had criticized the working system of BJP
This comment of Kaur comes after Amarinder recently criticized the working system of BJP. The former Chief Minister had said that unlike Congress, he is not being consulted in BJP. However, he rejected speculations of returning to his old party. Amarinder had said that meeting the Congress high command was much easier than meeting the top BJP leadership and the Congress had a ‘more democratic system’.
However, he had said that he still feels hurt by the way he was removed from the post of Chief Minister while he was in Congress.

Describing her husband as an experienced politician, Kaur said that the decision to join BJP was taken keeping in mind the larger interests of Punjab. He said, “We were confident that with the support of the Centre, we can do something meaningful for the people of Punjab. That decision is firm.”
