Meanwhile, for a special reason, film maker Rajkumar Santoshi is also going to meet him. Actually, according to a report, the veteran film maker is preparing to make part 2 of Sunny’s 1996 hit film Ghatak.

In fact, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, a source said, “Rajkumar Santoshi has come up with an idea which he feels can be made as Ghatak 2. He has told Sunny Deol about it. Sunny liked the idea and has asked Mr. Santoshi to come to Manali. After this, the filmmaker has left for this hill station in the Himalayas, it is expected that he will meet the actor on January 31 and narrate the script to him.”

According to the report, the source further said, “It remains to be seen what Sunny thinks about this subject. If he likes it, he will take it forward based on dates and other factors. Sunny is clear that just because Gadar 2 (2023) and Border 2 were blockbusters, he will not take advantage of this trend by signing sequels to any of his previous classic films. He feels that it would be a betrayal to the audience. Mr. Santoshi also thinks similarly.”

Let us tell you that Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi have worked together thrice, in Ghayal (1990), Damini (1993) and Ghatak (1996). These three films were huge hits and their memories are still in people’s hearts. Interestingly, Sunny’s next film, Lahore 1947, is also being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. This time Aamir Khan is associated as its producer. Whereas Bollywood Hungama had reported in October 2025 that Rajkumar is also committed to do Jaat 2. Sunny Deol had also worked in its first part, Jatt (2025).
