Seeing the range of India’s missile testing, America along with China and Pakistan are in shock. After China, now America has sent its reconnaissance warship Ocean Titan to the Indian Ocean. Actually, DRDO is going to test the missile with a range of 3,550 km in the Bay of Bengal between 15-17 October. In recent times, Ocean Titan was seen in Male, the capital of Maldives.
India has increased the range of this missile thrice in three days. Along with Ocean Titan, China’s Yuan Wang-5 is also going to cross the Malacca Strait and reach the Indian Ocean so that this missile of India can be monitored. China also keeps an eye on India’s missile testing from Male.
What are the specialties of Chinese and American spy warships?
It is an important part of the Chinese Yuan Wang 5 missile and satellite tracking system and is capable of tracking rockets, satellites as well as ballistic missiles. It was inducted into the Chinese Navy in 2007 and operates in international waters. America’s Ocean Titan is a research vessel developed in 1989, which is equipped with diesel-electric engines and survey equipment. It is believed that America is using it for maritime surveillance and intelligence gathering.
India had issued NOTAM
India had issued NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) and Maritime Security Notification declaring the area over the Bay of Bengal as a danger zone from 15 to 17 October. India has declared a radius of 3550 kilometers as ‘No Fly Zone’, which means that planes will not be able to fly from this area at the scheduled time, after which it is being speculated that India may once again test a long-range missile.
Experts say that India issues such NOTAMs regularly to ensure the safety of air and sea traffic. These steps are in accordance with international security standards and are taken before the joint operation of DRDO and Strategic Forces Command (SFC).
