After delay in 800 flights, Delhi Airport issues advisory for passengers, tell what is the latest update


The technical problem related to Air Traffic Control (ATC) at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport has almost been resolved and due to this the operation of flights is also becoming normal. Delhi Airport Authority shared a big update on this matter on Saturday (8 November). The airport issued an advisory for passengers and said that the situation is now returning to normal.

Delhi Airport in its advisory said, “Automatic Message Switching System (AMS) is used to assist Air Traffic Control in its flight planning process.AMSS) The technical problem affecting the system is gradually improving. Airline operations are returning to normal at Delhi airport and all concerned authorities are working diligently to minimize any inconvenience. “Passengers are advised to stay in touch with their airlines for latest flight information.”

More than 800 flights were affected at Delhi Airport from Thursday night to Friday morning. AMSS was closed due to technical problem, due to which there was a lot of difficulty in flight operations. AMSS means Automatic Message Switching System. It plays the biggest role in the operation of flights, but due to technical problem it was closed automatically. Thousands of passengers had to face problems due to this problem.
