The series of major road accidents in Rajasthan is showing no sign of stopping. 20 people lost their lives in the Jaisalmer bus fire. Just two days later, on Thursday (16 October), news of a major accident came from Barmer. Here, after colliding with the trailer, the Scorpio vehicle caught fire, in which four friends were burnt to death while another got serious burns.
It is being told that this accident happened due to fire in a moving vehicle. The incident happened at around 2:30 in the night in Sindhari police station area. The Scorpio vehicle caught fire as soon as it collided with the trailer. The fire was so huge that no one got a chance to escape.
The youth were just 30 kilometers away from home
The condition of the seriously burnt youth remains very critical. It is being told that the five friends had gone for some work and were returning home. They were just 30 kilometers from home when this tragic accident happened.
The age of all the youth who died is between 22 to 30 years. Those who died have also been identified. The deceased include Mohan Singh, Shambhu Singh, Pancharam Dewasi and Prakash.
Mega highway remained closed for a long time after the accident
People present there told that along with the Scorpio, there was a light fire in the trailer also. Fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control. The mega highway was closed after the accident. After an hour, both the vehicles were sidelined and traffic was allowed to resume. The post mortem of the dead bodies will be held today in the district hospital of Barmer. Before this, the bodies were kept in the mortuary of the hospital.
