After Macron’s statement, it happened that China and Europe came together! Preparation to give a big blow to Trump

The world order seems to be changing rapidly during the second term of US President Donald Trump. From the stage of the World Economic Forum 2026 (WEF) in Davos, Macron has fueled the debate on global politics and trade war by asking China to invest in Europe. He invited China to invest in the European market, but also imposed many conditions. Now China has responded to this.

Macron invites China to invest in Europe

Macron said, ‘Europe needs not just cheap products and devices from China, but such technology and investment that will develop Europe as well. He alleged that the standards of Chinese products often do not match European standards. European companies are suffering losses because of China because they give heavy subsidies to their products. China is producing more goods than required, which is having a negative impact on the world market. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has given a strong reaction to Macron’s statement.

China expressed hope to work with Europe

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said that the economic and trade relations between China and the European Union are based on mutual benefit. He said, the growth of Chinese products in the market is not due to subsidy, but due to investment in technology and supply chain. Our products are cheaper and better. China has never deliberately tried to achieve a trade surplus (a country’s total exports exceeding its total imports). We are ready to serve the world as a market also. China has expressed hope that Europe will adopt a visionary approach and open-mindedness and work together with China.

‘Europe will provide a fair environment for Chinese businesses’

Talking about Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Europe, Guo Jiakun said that the Chinese government has continuously supported Chinese companies interested in investing in Europe in accordance with market principles. China said that they also expect a similar welcome for their companies. Guo said, ‘We hope that the European country will create a fair, non-discriminatory, transparent environment for Chinese businesses.’

Clash between Trump and Macron on Greenland issue

While on one hand other European leaders are showing restraint regarding Greenland, on the other hand Macron has adopted an aggressive stance against Trump. Taking aim at Trump, he said that international law is being trampled underfoot and it seems that only the laws of the most powerful people matter. His (Donald Trump) own morality only limits global power and he does not need international law.
