After the big victory in Bihar Assembly elections, now Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s focus is on his party. On Saturday (06 December) he started the membership campaign in the party office in the presence of prominent leaders and workers of JDU. As part of the strategy to further strengthen the organization, a target has been set to add one crore new members in three years.
JDU’s national working president and MP Sanjay Kumar Jha said, “The party’s membership campaign has started from today (06 December). We gave the first membership to the party’s national president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The party, its officials and the legislative party all congratulated CM Nitish Kumar on taking oath as the Chief Minister for the 10th time. This time we have set a target of Rs 1 crore in the membership campaign.”

Campaign from booth level to district level – Rajeev Ranjan
Meanwhile, JDU’s national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan said, “The party’s target is to add one crore new members to the organization in the next three years.” For this, a special campaign will be run from booth level to district level. A strategy is being prepared to strengthen the party organization by increasing membership.
‘RJD leaders are disappointed after the election defeat’
Attacking his opponents, he said, “After the crushing defeat in the assembly elections, RJD leaders are dejected and have lost their mental balance. They are blabbering uncontrollably. Earlier it was said that BJP will not make Nitish the Chief Minister. Now they are saying that JDU has merged with BJP.
RJD took a dig at JDU’s membership campaign
On the other hand, RJD took a dig at JDU’s membership campaign program. Party spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed said, “All this is just for show.” This is all a pretense that leaders are being given responsibility. Actually the reality is that from the day Nitish Kumar started following the ideas of BJP, the process of merger of JDU with BJP has started.
He further said, “The next big exercise will be seen soon.” He was indicating that JDU will completely merge with BJP soon. He further said that JDU party has already merged into the ideology of BJP.
