Tenure was extended for one year
Team India had won the 2024 T20 World Cup and 2025 Champions Trophy. After this, as a reward for the first BCCI IPL 2025, Agarkar’s tenure was extended by one year. Now the tenure of the Chief Selector is to end in June, 2026.
What will be considered demand?
Now the question is arising whether Agarkar’s demand will be accepted? It was told that former players of West Zone are seen in the race for Chief Selector. Agarkar disappointed in test cricket
While Agarkar’s tenure in T20 and ODI cricket was very good for Team India, the tenure of the Chief Selector in Test was very bad. Under Agarkar, Team India won the title of 2024 T20 World Cup, 2025 Champions Trophy and 2026 T20 World Cup.
