After winning the World Cup, Captain Harmanpreet Kaur was seen in Dhoni’s style, 14 years old memories were refreshed.


India created history by winning the Women’s World Cup 2025 on 2 November. There is an atmosphere of celebration in the entire country after the historic victory of Team India. In the final match played at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the Indian team won its first Women’s ODI World Cup by defeating South Africa by 52 runs. After this, Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur did such a thing which took the fans back 14 years, i.e. to the era of 2011 ODI World Cup victory.

Recently, Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur did a photoshoot with the World Cup trophy at the Gateway of India in Mumbai. In this photo, Harmanpreet was seen holding the trophy exactly like Dhoni. In 2011, when India won the World Cup by defeating Sri Lanka under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, Dhoni also did a similar photoshoot with the World Cup trophy near the Gateway of India in Mumbai.

BCCI itself has shared these pictures of Harmanpreet on social media. These photos went viral within a few hours of posting. Seeing these pictures of the fans, Dhoni’s legacy was remembered and he reached there 14 years ago.

Strong performance of Indian team in the final

In the final match, South Africa won the toss and invited India to bat first. Team India adopted an aggressive stance from the beginning. Shefali Verma played a brilliant inning of 87 runs, while Deepti Sharma scored a half-century scoring 58 runs. Smriti Mandhana made a brilliant contribution of 45 runs and Richa Ghosh made 34 runs. Due to which India scored 298 runs after losing 7 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.

In response, South Africa was all out for 246 runs in 45.3 overs. Deepti Sharma wreaked havoc in bowling and took 5 wickets, while Shefali also took two wickets.
