Pakistan Ahmadiya Muslims: The festival of Eid ul-Azha i.e. Bakrid is being celebrated with pomp around the world. This is an important festival for the people of the Muslim community, in which Muslims sacrifice the goat after offering morning prayers. In Islamic countries, this festival is celebrated on a very large scale, but if we talk about Pakistan in India, then only a particular Muslim class here is not allowed to celebrate this festival. The government here has banned the sacrifice of goat on a particular Muslim class. In such a situation, let us know which is this Muslim class and why it is not allowed to celebrate Bakrid?

These Muslims cannot celebrate Bakrid

Ahmadiyya Muslims living in Pakistan are facing many challenges, one of which is a ban on celebrating Muslim festivals. According to the information, Muslims living in Punjab and Sindh province have been banned from sacrificing goats. Even the Muslims of this community cannot sacrifice goat inside the Charhadi wall. Notification has also been issued by the administration for this. Apart from this, people of Ahmadiyya Muslim community are prohibited from publicly reading Quran, making mosques and speaking salute.

Why is there a stop and how much punishment

Let me tell you, in the 1974 constitution amendment in Pakistan, Ahmadiyya Muslims were excluded from Muslim recognition. The general Muslims here consider the people of Ahmadiyya community to be non-Muslims and after following Muslim traditions they get to jail. Apart from this, there is a provision of punishment like a fine of five lakhs for sacrificing goat on the occasion of Bakrid.
