Tension has spread in the city after the murder of a class 10 student in a private school in Ahmedabad. The incident took place on Tuesday (August 19) when a student of another community studying in the 8th school in the same school stabbed to death.
In this case, there was a demonstration for the second consecutive day. On August 21, NSUI, Youth Congress and local organizations demonstrated in protest against the murder, while the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal called for the city bandh. The matter has started taking communal color and the police have detained many protesters.
Student made serious allegations against school management
The school management is being made serious allegations. Family and protesters say that the injured student was not sent to the hospital by ambulance, but was taken by rickshaw. This negligence increased the anger of the people.
The protesters demanded action on the school administration and alleged that the site of the incident was quickly cleared so that the name of the school would not come. The NSUI and Youth Congress also took the front, while the police used force to take out the protests and remove the jam from the road.

Statement and communal tension
On August 21, the student Taran, who was involved in the protest, said in a statement, “The body of the victim was lying for half an hour, but the school did not help. Parents themselves took him to the hospital with a rickshaw.” He also accused the teachers of lying and said that the school administration should be held accountable. The police has deployed additional force to handle the situation.
Police action and government’s response
The police have caught the accused student. Officials said that after the murder, the school was also vandalized. Gujarat Education Minister Prafulla Pansheria said that the matter is being investigated and strict action will be taken against the culprits. At present, the atmosphere in Ahmedabad is tense and the police has monitored the situation.
