Ahoi Ashtami is also known by names like Karak Ashtami, Karashtami and Avahi Aathe, which is celebrated every year on the Ashtami date of Kartik Krishna Paksha. On this day, mothers observe a fast and worship Goddess Ahoi for the long life of their children.

Halwa- On Ahoi Ashtami, you can offer things made of semolina like semolina hawala to Mother Goddess. If you want, you can also offer Halwa-Puri to Ahoi Mata. This offering is very auspicious.
