Then the woman worships Ahoi Mata and asks for forgiveness, as a result of which the son becomes alive again. Since then, the fast of Ahoi Ashtami became popular for the attainment of a child and the longevity of the child.
By observing Ahoi Ashtami fast, mothers pray for the longevity, success, bright future and good health of their children. Therefore, this fast is not only considered a duty but also a divine symbol of a mother’s love, dedication, sacrifice and good wishes for her child.
