Air India Plane Crash IndiGo Share Fell by 3 4 Percent and Spicejet Share Fell by 2 6 6 percent

Airlines shares: On Thursday, Indigo and SpiceJet shares also recorded a steep decline after the news of Air India aircraft crashed at Ahmedabad Airport. According to the Gujarat State Police Control Room, an Air India aircraft crashed within a few minutes of flying at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.

Indigo and SpiceJet’s share declines

As soon as this news was revealed, IndiGo’s shares slipped 3.4 percent to a low of Rs 5,437.50 on the NSE on Thursday. At the same time, SpiceJet’s shares came to Rs 44.30 with a decline of 2.6 percent. The market was already under pressure on Thursday due to weak global signals and increasing tension between Israeli-Iran. As soon as the news of Air India had a plane crash from above, there was chaos in investors. During this, both Sensex and Nifty declined sharply.

Most selling among IT stocks

The biggest decline in Thursday trading came in IT shares. The total market value of all listed companies listed in BSE fell by Rs 4.19 lakh crore to Rs 451 lakh crore. Earlier, in May, Interglobe Aviation introduced great results.

In the fourth quarter of FY 2025, the company’s profit increased by 62 percent to Rs 3,067 crore. The company also announced a dividend of Rs 10 per share, which is currently under the approval of AGM. Dividend will be paid within 30 days of getting approval from here.

SpiceJet results will be announced soon

SpiceJet has not announced its results yet. The board of directors of the company will meet on June 13, 2025 (Friday), in which the results of the fourth quarter and FY 25 will be considered and approved. The sharp decline in the airline shares reflect the concern of investors about the aircraft accident.
