There were 242 passengers and crew members in the aircraft. Of these, 169 Indians, 53 British, 1 Canadian and 7 Portuguese citizens were included. A few minutes after flying from Ahmedabad, the aircraft crashed. The aviation tracking site Flightradar24 said that this air India’s airport was 787 Dreamliner, which is a modern aircraft. It was built by Boeing Commercial Airplaces in December 2013 and is the first crash in its 15 -year history.

Former Chief Minister of Gujarat also joins passengers

The accident occurred in Meghaninagar area near Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The name of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani is also included in the list of passengers of the crashed aircraft. It is still not known what has been the reason for the accident. Many airlines use this model

According to the Aviation Safety Network Database, this is the first accident related to the Boeing 787 aircraft. However, in 2013, its electrical power system led to a fire in the lithium-ion battery, after which it was stopped from being taken off. Many other airline operators like British Airways, United Airways and Qatar Airways use this model.

In recent years, many accidents related to Boeing Plane have come to light, such as 189 passengers died in the Lion Air accident in the year 2018. Boeing 737 Max was used in it. In 2019, Ethiopian Airlines flight 302 crashed, killing 157 people. 737 Max aircraft were also used in this. After these incidents, the operations of the entire Boeing 737 Max were banned.
