There is no sign of improvement in the level of air pollution in Uttar Pradesh. This problem is becoming worse as the cold increases. The air quality here has remained serious for the last several days due to which it is becoming difficult for people to breathe. Even today, AQI has been recorded between 400-450 at many places.
In a way, the cold is increasing in UP. The weather department has warned of fog and cold wave in the morning and evening. Now the cold is going to show its full wrath in the coming days, while along with the cold, the poison of pollution is also getting dissolved in the air.
No relief from cold and poisonous air
Due to polluted air, the condition of many districts of UP is bad. Air pollution has increased in many big cities including Varanasi, Shamli, Kanpur, Lucknow, but the situation has become serious in districts like Ghaziabad, Noida adjacent to Delhi. The level of air pollution here continuously remains above 400.
AQI crosses 400 in these districts
There doesn’t seem to be any improvement even on Thursday 20th November. Today Greater Noida was the most polluted. Air quality index 445 was recorded in Knowledge Park-5 here. Apart from this, the situation in other areas is also not very good. AQI was recorded at 443 in Noida Sector-116 at 6 am today, while AQI was 416 in Noida Sector-116 and 428 in Noida Sector-1.
The air pollution level in Ghaziabad’s Loni area was recorded at 432 on Thursday, while the AQI was 427 in Indirapuram, 420 in Sanjay Nagar and 429 in Vasundhara. Apart from this, 365 AQI has been recorded in Hapur, 382 in Baghpat and 332 in Meerut. An AQI above 400 is recorded in the ‘severe’ category, while air between 300-400 is in the ‘very poor’ category.
