Due to this, there is a sharp increase in the demand for air purifiers. According to electronics retailer Croma, sales of air purifiers have increased by 30 percent on an annual basis.
Air purifiers have become a necessity
The company said that now air purifiers are no longer being seen as a seasonal product and they have become a necessity in places like Delhi-NCR. Of the air purifiers sold from Croma, 72 percent have been purchased in Delhi-NCR alone, which shows how worried people are about air quality. After Delhi-NCR, maximum number of air purifiers have been sold in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Highest demand for HEPA filter
Experts say that to protect from poisonous air, it is necessary to have purifiers with Hepa filters and customers are also understanding this. This filter removes dust and other pollutants from the air. People are also keeping their budget in mind while buying air purifiers. About 49 percent people have bought air purifiers worth Rs 5-15 thousand.
Keep these things in mind while buying an air purifier
Filter Type- While buying an air purifier, it is important to pay attention to the filter type. Buy only purifier with HEPA filter. It can capture 99.95 to 99.995 percent particles.
CADR Rate- Clean Air Delivery Rate or CADR refers to the volume of filtered air delivered every minute. Higher CADR means that pollution will be eliminated from your room sooner.
airflow- Instead of front-only suction, a purifier with top-to-bottom or 360 degree intake will provide proper circulation.
Noise level- The air purifier has to be kept with you and if its noise level is high then it can cause trouble.
