At present, admissions are going on in all the universities across the country. Also, the admission process in Delhi University has started. Thousands of students are reaching here from all over the country for admission in the university. But in this process, many times students have to face lack of necessary information and problems with the intricacies of the system. To make these problems easier, Aam Aadmi Party’s student organization Asap (AISAAP) has started a new initiative.

Essep has installed admission help desk outside DU’s Arts Faculty, where students enrolled in UG and PG can get the answer to any question. The organization has also issued Zone War Helpline Numbers, so that students from far and wide can also seek help. Esap member Ishana Gupta said that the help desk for the convenience of the students will be active from morning to evening and efforts are being made to reach every student through social media.

Every student will get support

Ishana Gupta said that the purpose of the esp is not only politics, but the support system of the students is to be made. He said that many students are financially weak and lagged behind due to lack of proper guidance. In such a situation, the effort of the essence is to get all the necessary information on time, so that they can be admitted without any interruption.

He told that in the incident of Chaudhary Charan Singh University Haryana, the Asap had helped the students on the spot and also gave food and financial assistance. Essap is now working with the same service spirit in DU.

Target on “Reel Politics”

Essap member Deepak Bansal targeted ABVP and NSUI over student politics in DU. He said that both these organizations are now doing politics by making reel and have been away from the real problems of the students. Giving an example of an incident, he said that the scripted incident of locking the ABVP in the DUSU office and then the NSUI with a hammer has proved that their aim is just a show.

Demand for basic facilities

Deepak Bansal demanded the DU administration that cold water coolers, clean hostel mess, fire safety systems, and better infrastructure should be ensured in all colleges. He also said that the unnecessary increase in hostels and university fees should be stopped.

Education should be free, system transparent

Essap says that just as the Kejriwal government in Delhi improves the infrastructure of schools, similarly education should be made free and convenient in government universities like DU. If their demands are not taken care of, then the essap will soon give a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor and will also perform if needed.
