In fact, in a high -level meeting held in the ministry on Wednesday (June 11) under the chairmanship of Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, it was decided to develop the overall development of the Shivkal Rajghat area at Sangam Mahuli of Satara district. This includes the renovation of Kashivishveshwar, Sangameshwar and Rameshwar temples, conservation of Maharani Tarabai, Yesubai and the tomb of first Shahu Maharaj, reconstruction of broken swinging bridge and proper development of ghat complex.
Satara’s big contribution
In this meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that Satara city has contributed to the establishment of Swarajya and the expansion of the Maratha Empire. Keeping in mind the historical architecture and the emotional association of citizens, Rajghat and samadhi sites should be redeveloped. Using traditional architectural styles and stones, new constructions match the old structure, emphasis was laid. Also, during the rainy season, environmental protection was also emphasized, taking care of the water coming from the dam and the river coming from the dam.
311 crore will be given for development
The Deputy Chief Minister clarified that all the work should be done with the Green Lawism and prior approval of the concerned departments, free from land dispute and construction should be done in a timely manner, the Public Works Department should be taken up. Public Works Minister Shivendraraje Bhosle, Monkey Development Minister Nitesh Rane were present in the meeting. Ajit Pawar also said that an estimated 311 crore fund for redevelopment of Rajghat region will be made available in a phased manner and after completion of the work, a provision of permanent cleaning, care and maintenance will also be ensured.
Ajinkyatara Fort will also be developed
Keeping in mind the importance of the historic Ajinkyatara Fort of Satara, the decision to reconstruct Rajasadar, conserve, coastline and main gate, repair, destroyed turns and ancient architecture, renovation of ancient architecture, information centers for tourists, information centers for tourists, Bird inspection facility and pedestrians, it was also decided to do this meeting under the guidance of Archeology Department. A phased fund of an estimated 113 crore will be approved for this.
