India vs england 3rd test: Fast bowler Akash Deep’s family members have greeted him before the start of the third Test match between India and England from July 10. His mother hopes that his son will take 10 wickets again in the match.
Akash Deep’s family members, while talking to ‘PTI video’ on Monday, praised him and also hoped that he would once again repeat his brilliant performance.
Akashdeep took a total of 10 wickets in the Edgbaston Test while performing tremendously. Thanks to his performance, India managed to equal one in the five-Test series with a huge win of 336 runs.
This fast bowler, who represented Bengal in domestic cricket, dedicated his performance to his sister Akhand Jyoti Singh, who is struggling with cancer.
Akhand Jyoti said, “Akash has dedicated the biggest achievement of his life to me. I am very proud and happy. He has really made the whole country proud. He is the youngest of all siblings but still he takes care of me. When I was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Lucknow and she (Akash Deep) was here, he used to come to the hospital daily to see me. He said that after the historic victory, Akash called him.
In the message sent to your brother before the Lord’s Test match, Akhand Jyoti Singh said, ‘Keep performing like this.’ Laduma Devi, mother of Akash Deep, originally from Sasaram, Bihar, said that Akash started playing cricket since childhood. She said that her husband was a teacher and he used to ask Akash not to play cricket but Akash used to play cricket by hiding the most. While wishing her son, Laduma Devi said, ‘Take 10 wickets.’
Akash Deep’s brother -in -law Nitesh Kumar Singh said, ‘Akash Deep is very close to me and he used to share almost everything with me. He was smart in studies. His inclination was towards cricket and he was devoted to it. Wherever he plays, he would perform very well everywhere. Based on his performance, he was selected in Team India.
Singh also hoped that Akashdeep would perform very well in the upcoming Test match at Lord’s.
Akashdeep, while speaking to Cheteshwar Pujara on ‘Jio Hotstar’, dedicated this memorable performance to his cancer -affected sister. The emotional Akash Deep had said, “Whenever there was a ball in my hand, his (sister Akhand Jyoti Singh) picture would come in my mind. She has been struggling with cancer for the last two months. She will be very happy with my performance and this will make a smile to her face.
In the absence of India’s strike bowler Jasprit Bumrah, Akashdeep, who came as a partner of Mohammad Siraj in the second Test against England, took a total of 10 wickets in the entire match and registered his name in history.
