Lucknow News: Samajwadi Party national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has once again launched a scathing attack on the BJP government. He said that the BJP made false promises to the public in the name of cleaning the rivers and only misused the budget of thousands of crores of rupees. Akhilesh Yadav said that during the Samajwadi government, the riverfront project on the Gomti River was an example, which could also be possible to clean the rest of the rivers. But the BJP government left this project incomplete only due to political malice. He said, “We showed the world through Gomti Riverfront that how the rivers can be made clean, beautiful and useful. But the BJP stopped it too and now the public is being tricked in the name of cleaning Ganga and Yamuna.”

‘Cleaning campaign of rivers running on paper’
The former Chief Minister said that campaigns like ‘Namami Gange’ of the BJP government are running only on paper. He said that Ganga is still dirty as it was before. Yamuna river will be cleaned or only politics- Akhilesh Yadav
Akhilesh Yadav said, river gives life, does not take anyone’s life. But instead of cleaning the rivers, the BJP government has only cleaned the budget. Referring to the plight of Yamuna flowing behind the Taj Mahal, he said that it is also harming the image of the country and the state.

The SP chief taunted and said that if the BJP wants, then the socialists can take tuition of river cleaning. Cleaning and beautification of Gomti Riverfront was a perfect in our time. If BJP people want, you can take guest lecture from us. He also said that the public has now prepared a program of cleaning of the BJP itself. On the same day, the BJP will be cleaned with power, on the same day from rivers to the budget of the country, everything will be clear.

Namami Gange project started in the year 2014
The Central Government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, launched the ‘Namami Gange’ scheme in 2014. A budget of thousands of crores was released to clean the Ganges river under this scheme. But experts and reports say that there has not been an expected progress in the cleaning of the Ganges. At the same time, the Gomti Riverfront project, started during Akhilesh Yadav’s government in Uttar Pradesh, came into the discussion at that time, although he remained incomplete after changing power.
