The case of arrest of former Uttar Pradesh IPS officer Amitabh Thakur is gaining momentum. Opposition parties have raised questions on the BJP government regarding Amitabh Thakur. In this matter, now Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, while targeting the Yogi government, said that whenever someone exposes the BJP government or asks sharp questions to them, this corrupt BJP government brings out some old issue against him and arrests him on the way. Akhilesh Yadav made a post regarding this on his social media handle X this evening. In which a video has been shared showing Amitabh Thakur being brought from the court. Akhilesh Yadav has condemned this instead of arresting him in other cases.

The looting of land that the BJP is doing openly from Ayodhya to Banaras, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Mathura, Agra, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Meerut and the entire state is not visible to this government because they have a stake in it and their own people are engaged as ‘land mafia’. Condemnable!”
Amitabh Thakur arrested in old case
Let us tell you here that while going from Lucknow to Delhi, Amitabh Thakur was arrested two days ago after getting off the train in Shahjahanpur. According to Lucknow Police, he was accused of land buying and selling during his posting in Deoria. Whereas his wife and her supporters allege that such action is being taken against Amitabh Thakur for speaking against corruption in the Yogi government.
