Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav has raised serious questions on the process of the Election Commission and the ruling party. He said that the Election Commission has given us a lot of work, because at many places efforts are being made to cut votes through Form 7. They allege that all this is being done in a planned manner so that the opposition can be harmed in the elections.
Sakaldiha and Babaganj case
Akhilesh Yadav said that 16 applications of Form 7 were submitted in Sakaldiha Assembly. At booth number 365 of Babaganj Assembly, about 100 votes were cut by filling Form 7 with fake signatures. He said that the vote of one of our BLAs was also canceled. According to him, this is a direct conspiracy, in which efforts are being made to remove the names of real voters.
‘Decision taken in secret meeting of BJP’
The SP chief claims that in a secret meeting of BJP it was decided that votes would be deducted in every assembly. Referring to Kannauj, he said that a leader there had also given a statement that the more educated sometimes make mistakes. Akhilesh called it a sarcasm and said that in reality it was not a mistake but a game of deliberately removing votes was going on.
Allegations of deletion of names of leaders and families
Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the name of Auraiya Nagar President was also removed from the voter list. Not only this, the name of the wife of SP MLA from Sikandarpur in Ballia was also deleted.
He said, “The work of the city president was terminated from our own voter.” He says that all this is a strategy to keep the opposition confused.
Form 7 figures in Ayodhya
Giving the example of Ayodhya, Akhilesh Yadav said that 181 notices were issued at one booth, out of which 76 percent were received by the PDA (backward, Dalit, minority) community. He claimed that 46 percent notices were given to people of Yadav and Muslim communities.
According to him, in Ayodhya, SP filled 47 Form 7, while BJP gave about one thousand applications. At the same time, more than one lakh forms were filled by “unknown people”, whom he said were associated with BJP.
‘BJP is doing all this due to fear of defeat’
Akhilesh Yadav said that BJP is not winning the UP elections, hence efforts are being made to spoil the atmosphere and trap the opposition by cutting votes. He also targeted Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that “Chief Minister Bisht ji was telling God knows what,” but the ground reality is different.
Allegation of assault in Etawah
An SP supporter Pradhan has also been accused of beating him after complaining in Etawah. Akhilesh Yadav said that if the voter tries to save his name, he is subjected to incidents of pressure and assault.
Akhilesh Yadav made a scathing attack and said that “the throne can be inherited, but not the intelligence.” He sarcastically said that some people want to take Baba’s name, but Babar comes out of their tongue.
He alleges that BJP people are still not ready to accept that names are being deleted through Form 7. He said that when the Election Commission is questioned on this, a concrete answer is not given, whereas the figures clearly show that the votes of the PDA community are being robbed.
