In fact, according to a report in India Today, Bhansali Studio has decided to take a big step on Rowdy Rathore and turn it into a franchise. According to the report, a source claimed, “Bhansali Productions is actively working on several major projects including ‘Rowdy Rathore 2’. And it is one of the biggest franchises of the studio with a strong fan base at the pan India level.”
According to the report, the star cast has not been selected yet and the film is still in its initial stages. However, it is also reported that in Rowdy Rathore 2, a ‘big pan-Indian star’ is likely to play the lead role in the cop avatar. According to the report, the source further added, “Given the huge popularity of the film, the makers are considering casting a big pan India star.”
