After the links of Dr. Umar Nabi, accused in the car blast near Red Fort in Delhi, with Al-Falah University, now the intelligence agencies have made another big revelation about this university. According to the report, this is not the first case. Even before this, a student of Al-Falah University was found involved in terrorist activities.

Al-Falah’s student named in 2007 Ahmedabad serial blasts

Mirza Shadab Baig, an active member of Indian Mujahideen, has been a student of Al-Falah Engineering College. Baig completed B.Tech (Electronics and Instrumentation) from Al-Falah Engineering College, Faridabad in 2007. In the same year, his name also appeared in the serial blasts in Ahmedabad. It is said that he was involved in planning the attacks during his studies. Currently he is absconding and according to sources his location is said to be Afghanistan.

Al-Falah University started as Al-Falah School of Engineering and Technology. In 2014, it got the status of university under the Haryana Private Universities Amendment Act.

Mirza Shadab Baig had a role in the 2008 Jaipur blast.

Mirza Shadab Baig was an important member of Indian Mujahideen. He went to Udupi to collect explosives for the 2008 Jaipur blasts and there provided detonators and bearings to Riyaz and Yasin Bhatkal, from which IEDs were prepared. Due to his studies in Instrumentation Engineering, Beg was considered an expert in making bombs.

Was active in Ahmedabad-Surat and Gorakhpur blasts

About 15 days before the Ahmedabad blasts, Beg reached there and did a recce of the entire city. Together with three teams, he handled the work of blast planning, logistics, IED fitting and preparation of bag bombs. His name also surfaced in the 2007 Gorakhpur serial blasts, in which six people were injured. Gorakhpur Police later attached his property.

Mirza Shadab Baig absconding since 2008

Mirza Shadab Baig is absconding after the revelation of Indian Mujahideen network in 2008. After his name cropped up in the Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Gorakhpur blasts, a reward of Rs 1 lakh was announced on him. According to sources, he was last located in Afghanistan in 2019, but till date he is out of reach.
