Alcohol and pancreas

Research found that drinking high amounts of alcohol damages the cells of pancreas that form digestive enzymes. This damage causes swelling in the limb. The pancreas plays an important role in digesting food and controlling blood sugar. When there is frequent swelling in it, it can turn into a pre-cancerous wound, which can later take the form of pancreatic cancer.

How does the risk of cancer increases?

According to scientists, it is necessary to change not only swelling, but also a particular gene change to become cancer. This controls the growth of gene cells. Experiments found that when alcohol and a pro-inflammatory are found, it causes symptoms like alcohol pancreatitis, which can cause cancer.

Search for ‘Master Controller’ gene

Researchers found that another gene creb acts like a ‘master controller’ in this entire process. This transforms healthy pancreas cells permanently unusual and pre-cancer cells. When this gene was deactivated, pre-cancer and cancerous wounds stopped in the pancreas.
