There will be no clash between Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan at the box office in April 2026. Actually, the makers of Alia’s upcoming film ‘Alpha’ have decided to change its release date due to fear of Salman Khan’s film. This film was earlier scheduled to release on April 17, but now its new release date will be decided.
Why was the release date of Alia’s ‘Alpha’ changed?
On Saturday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed on his Taram Adarsh wrote in the post, “Breaking News… ‘Alpha’ finds a way to avoid clash with ‘Battle of Galwan’ – YRF to decide on new date…Aditya Chopra made room for Salman Khan, and the already announced release date of Alpha was pushed to April 17, 2026 to avoid a direct clash with Battle of Galwan.
He further wrote in the post, “YRF had set the date of April 17, 2026 for Alpha, but the producers will now announce the new release date after assessing the calendar of films releasing in theaters in the next few months.”

‘Alpha’ has been postponed earlier also
This is not the first time that ‘Alpha’ has been postponed. The film was originally scheduled to release in theaters on Christmas 2025. However, due to the ongoing work of the producers, it was postponed to April 2026.
Bobby Deol will also be seen in Alpha
Apart from Alia Bhatt, YRF’s Alpha also stars Sharvari and Bobby Deol in important roles. Fans got a glimpse of Alpha in the post-credits scene of War 2. In this scene, Bobby Deol made a sudden entry and marked his official entry into the spy universe.
In the scene, he is shown applying the logo of an agency on the hand of a young girl. When the girl asked what it meant, Bobby’s character replied, “Alpha.” He explained that Alpha is the first letter in Greek and that his program’s motto was: “First, Fastest, Strongest.”
