All 16 ministers in the Bharatiya Janata Party ruled Gujarat government have resigned. All the ministers have submitted their resignations to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. All the ministers resigned after an important meeting on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the house of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Before the resignation, a meeting of all the ministers was held with the Chief Minister. In this meeting, the resignations of all the ministers except the Chief Minister have been accepted.

The resignations given by the ministers of Gujarat will be submitted to the Governor. All of them had their resignations ready. The ministers had signed the resignation letter. No further instructions have been given.

The process of cabinet expansion in the state has reached its final stage. First of all, BJP state president Jagdish Vishwakarma resigned. After this, all the ministers resigned one after the other. These resignations were handed over to Vishwakarma, who directed all the ministers to resign.

Interestingly, the Chief Minister did not ask for resignation from the ministers. This afternoon, a meeting of ministers was held at the residence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, in which it was decided that all the ministers would resign en masse. After this decision, now all eyes are on the announcement of the new cabinet. The swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet will be held tomorrow, Friday (October 17) at the Mahatma Temple in Gandhinagar.
